Spain's health minister Salvador Illa gave a press conference on Thursday evening at which he explained the regulations for people being allowed to go out to exercise as from Saturday.
The schedule, he said, was based on expert advice to reduce risks to the most vulnerable groups. Therefore, physical activity and daily walks should be within the municipality in which one resides. For people from the age of 14, exercise and walks should not be of more than one kilometre. Sport and walks should be on an individual basis or with someone that a person lives with. These activities will be between 6am and 10am and 8pm and 11pm. These activities, for all age groups, should be once a day.
For dependent people and the over-70s, their activities will be from 10am to midday and 7pm to 8pm. There has been an alteration to the rules regarding children under the age of 14; their hours will now be midday to 7pm.
Rules on social distancing of at least one and a half metres should be observed at all times.
In municipalities with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants, these time slots will not apply; exercise can be taken at any time between 6am and 11pm.

Laughing out loud. You guys sure do have some funny rules and regulations going on.Jesus this is stupid. HahahaYou should come to Sweden instead!
@Dano please stop shouting. We can all read, there is no need to continuously use capital letters to get your point of view across.. Do you normally shout when speaking?!And yes there is a restriction on errands. You are supposed to go straight there and straight back home and to the the nearest place to your home, not dawdling along the way.The slots are to protect the elderly and children, keep them apart from each other and from other adults. Neither of those two groups should be going shopping etc.
Yogi, the Majorca Daily Bulletin has given us a handy list of municipalities where one can roam free. As the total of the 5 or 6 villages and main town where I live is more than 5.000 souls, it means not being on the list. Even though my village is 6km away from the main town and all the other villages are at least 2km away. How stupid is this new rule!!! Furthermore: I totally agree with Dule.
Confusing and inaccurate article. I suggest those who understand Spanish read the full details in the BOE.So Yogi what would you suggest? Older people need their own specific slots. So do children. Both for obvious reasons. Not mixing these different groups with others for now is essential. The reason for not being able to go from one municipality to another is also pretty obvious.I don’t understand this need to always complain no matter what. Be thankful that after seven weeks of lockdown we are finally going to be able go out just for a little while. Be thankful too that you are still healthy and remember all the thousands who haven’t made it through.
Not sure why people are commenting with unhappiness. This seems good to me. The time slots for adults are large enough to minimise some congestion.but more importantly they help protect the elderly, allow children space to play and also make a slot for council workers to get work done. Seems sensible.
AGain, this doesn't make sense. We ALREADY can go to the grocery store, pharmacy, get gas, etc and there's no restriction as to how long it takes us nor within what hours. So, the ONLY difference is the REASON you're out and what you're allowed to DO while you're out. GADS!!
Honestly, you couldn’t make it up! The time slots will surely cause congestion not reduce it! And then only stay in your municipality? As I feared, they are adding stupid rules conjured up from some number crunching academic and losing the picture about real people. Better check what the population of my municipality is!
Even though my expectations are almost non existent at this point, this government still somehow manage to dissapoint. Fascinating.
