There were also 439 new infections, making 228,691 altogether since the start of the health crisis.
1,843 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, which means 140,823 people in Spain have now beaten Covid-19.
Dr Fernando Simón, Spokesperson for the Centre for Health Alerts & Emergencies said the downward trend is continuing and urged people to adhere to mobility restrictions.
“The pandemic is circulating rapidly throughout the world, with increased infections in Sudan, Cameroon, Senegal, South Africa, Nigeria, Latin America and Bolivia, said Dr Simon. “In Europe, the increase in infections is mostly in Eastern Europe.”

You reckon the population of Spain is 4,900,000,000 do you Mark? This is at least the third time I have seen you post these strange figures. I don’t understand your obsession with comparing Covid deaths to other causes either. There is no relationship whatsoever! And your comment “most people are in an age group that would have most likely died of some flu or other illness anyway” is, to say the least, distasteful.
27.000 fatalities represents 0,00055% of the Spanish population. On average 39.500 people die every month in Spain (based on 2018 figures). COVID-19: 9.000 per month if you count from when COVID-19 arrived in Spain. But, in this 9.000 most people are in an age group that would have most likely died of some flu or other illness anyway. It is all very weird what is happening.
