Copy the Canaries and give tourists comprehensive insurance, this will greatly increase numbers
Stan, although I get what you are saying, I doubt you have any clue what it actually costs to keep a hotel open. I have a friend who owns 12 hotels here on Mallorca, all are closed as it is economically not viable to open for say 30% occupancy. It really needs to be 50% to 60% + occupancy to just about cover costs. So your ideas are enthusiastic, but lack economic backup.
If and when the UK removes Quarantining rules. I would like to suggest opening Jotels through to Christmas, New Year and Three Kings. Make special Winter Sun Offers until the end of yhis year with very attractive discounts. Should those offers prove viable. Then continue with the offers until next May. The start of next season. Tens of thousands of people/Tourists have NOT had a Holiday so far. So as soon as it is possible , to lift the quarantine rules, Be Pepared to open up and Sell the Special Offers.
