You are right, the fishing is not so important in monetary values, but it is extremely important in ideological values as Britain becomes once again an independent country, opening up our trade to our true commonwealth friends, trading with the EU as an equal partner we have much that they want. Interesting times ahead.
Mark, there are some things one can’t quantify in percentages. Like pride.
Mark, I think I could explain a lot of things to you, however not here. As an observation, I do agree with your last sentence, but then I am not Spanish and they are her Islands. When in Rome do as the Romans do, comes to mind.
Nigel, you have no idea what's in the 2,000 pages, all you know is that there are approximately 2,00 pages. Read it, read some diverse commentaries of what it includes, then make a decision on how good or bad it is.
Nigel, I am not sure what you are cheering about or proud of. Although this deal is better than no deal, it is still very much a hard Brexit of which the Brits will suffer by far the most. I wish you well on your island, glad I don´t live there anymore.
And all you of little faith, slamming BJ and etc. time to eat your words.
Can someone explain me what is the big deal about fishing? On navy ships, canons were cleaned and made ready to fire, to protect the fishing waters of the UK after 31-12-2020. Fishing is NOTHING in the scheme of things. The fishing industry represents 0,1% of the total British economy. Yet it is made out that without these fishing rights, Britain would be doomed. Having Armengol, now that is what I would call being doomed.
