At around 10am on Sunday, a man said to be aged between 40 and 50 was killed after he and the hang glider he was operating fell to the ground.

The accident occurred in Vilafranca near to the El Cruce restaurant. The emergency services went to the scene, where he was pronounced dead.

The Guardia Civil are investigating the circumstances.
