Why is Mallorca short of vaccines when the UK can get 60 million doses?
Despite the promises of bumper shipments of vaccine doses, the Balearic immunisation programme is still woefully slow with just 21.4% of the population immunised as of April 15, according to statistics.

It’s called getting organised. The UK looked ahead, ordered immediately, paid up front, didn’t let sections of the business community pull their strings or let another country dictate to them. We may have really messed up at the start. But as the old saying goes, “ it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish”!!! We put ourselves in hock and got on with it. Life is more important than financial gain in a Pandemic!! Application forms are available to join the Commonwealth!!!!
Because we have a brain and left the joke EU.
so where the answer to this rediculous situation. why cant we get the doses required here inn mallorca and spain
Quite simple really. The government of Spain shamefully abdicated responsibility to its citizens and past the procurement of Covid vaccine to the European Commission. This organisation and some foolish European nations politicians have belittled AZ vaccine efficacy. Entered into commercial contracts badly then screamed foul after delivery failure. Novovax refused to continue discussions with eu. Valneva will not discuss supply to them. Pattern emerges here i think. Commercial business will not tolerate reputations being damaged by dealing with amateurs..
Simple your run by idiots
It’s worth noting that in addition to Mallorca’s appallingly slow vaccination program, there has also been a significantly high spike in new Covid cases reported today. The UK ‘green list’ is looking increasingly unlikely. The politicians keep saying they are desperate for tourism, but do absolutely nothing to facilitate it. Government headlines look positive, but reading the data - it’s a disaster.
Very simple..We ordered first. The EU dragged its feet and Spain is getting the consequences of that.
