Eleven people, including a baby and two other children, were rescued on Saturday afternoon after their boat broke down in the bay of Palma and was pushed towards rocks by the wind.

Around 4pm, a boat from the Maritime Safety Agency went to their assistance. They were taken to the port in Palma, where some needed treatment from the ambulance service.

The boat, which was battered against rocks in Dique del Oeste, eventually began to sink.
