A giant water-spout was spotted out in the sea off Pollensa as the island continues to be hit by freak water

A video of the water-spout was posted on the Palma Met Office website. Most waterspouts do not suck up water; they are small and weak rotating columns of air over water.

Mallorca is on bad weather red alert with heavy rains and high winds being forecast for today.
