Every opportunity and warning was given to ex-pats to sort out their paperwork in good time. Many of us did, but many of us didn’t. The arrogance of people who think they can pick and choose the laws of their host country that they wish to abide by is breathtaking. The answer is simple. Get legal or get out.
If Spain says no, the U.K. says no.
