Caló des Moro in Santanyi was the focus last summer for "tourist saturation". Large numbers of beachgoers headed for the cove, and images of queues to get onto the beach caused a great deal of comment; these queues were as a result of beach capacity controls, a Covid measure.

This is ridiculous, completely over the top. All thats needed is the designated space to park cars during the day. No resurfacing, parking lines, lights. That is turning a beautiful area into an urban beach. Just give people a place to park and let them get on with it - like it has worked for years. As soon as you let the authorities take over, the jobsworths get stuck in and suddenly the place looks like magaluf.
