Update: Body found after 15 years

On Wednesday morning, the National Police were called to site in Cala Major, Palma, after a body was discovered in undergrowth. Police believe that that the body remained undiscovered for more than 15 years, according to initial investigations.

Several police patrols went to the scene after a call to the 091 number. Work is being carried out at the site.

The homicide squad has taken charge of the investigation, and a forensic doctor will be examining the body, said to be in an advanced stage of decomposition.
