Mallorca is hardly dominated by Brits. Brits weren't here last year, but it was a surprisingly good year for tourism. Where do you reckon they come from?
I regularly use the UK-Palma-Uk route and found few delays even with only one terminal open at the moment I am currently sitting here in the sun having enjoyed several great meals out this week and lots of friendly Mallorca faces waiting to welcome you -hopefully a one off situation for you will not deter others visiting Mallorca and quite honestly there is lot more going on than to worry about your holiday queue.🌞😀🍰🚴🏃♀️👩👩👧👦🍾🍺
I doubt a 15 minute wait at passport control will deter anyone. It's normal at most airports.
And Germans. And Swedish. And Belgians. And Dutch. And Swiss. And French. And Latvians. And Luxemburgers. And Polish. And Austrians. And Norwegians. And Italians. And Czechs. And Romanians. And Finnish. And Portuguese. And Ukrainians.
Not good for tourism ?… If the island wants to deter U.K. visitors then this image and any more like it will do the that nicely. Hard times and under pressure incomes. Expensive flights and on island inevitable cost increases will dampen demand. This avoidable hassle will tip the scales to avoid the island and stay home or spend money at more welcoming destinations. My mates from Germany are suffering high costs increases and income squeeze worse than the U.K. it seems. I suggest the authorities in Palma ensure the market available are exploited and not deterred. I remember early 2000 when the German market dried up and the hotel said thank god for the reliability of the British trade.
Obviously terminal A will be in use in the summer as it always is.
