So you support one countries claim on a “valuable , must be a goat or something there “swathe of empty desert. For absolutely no advantage. And piss of you main gas supplier. This must be the new diplomacy. Sounds like as much fun as slamming a car door with your head sill in the opening. Not sure what this guy means by “defends its interests” . Algerians need the money so sell Spain the gas but it might cost more and arrive a little late. But in a world where gas is a very valuable commodity. Real politic as Henry K used to say is a sound policy. Keep you friends close and you enemies closer
