The Guardia Civil are investigating the death of a 24-year-old British woman, who fell nine metres from the second floor at the Hotel Rosamar in Sant Josep de Sa Talaia, Ibiza.

Emergency services were called by the hotel reception around 9am on Sunday morning. Medics attempted to save her, but she was declared dead at the scene.

The woman was staying at the hotel with her partner.
