Fire brigade rescues people trapped on Palma fairground attraction

The Palma Fire Brigade had to be called in on Saturday afternoon when an attraction at the Fira del Ram Easter funfair had a malfunction.

Shortly before 2.30, the Rocket came to a halt, leaving a number of people suspended in the air; the tower itself is some sixty metres high.

The firefighters used a ladder truck to get up to the individual rockets, five of them, in which people were trapped.
