Brexit has made buying a home for British citizens in Spain alot more difficult, in some cases you even have to ask permission from the military and remember as a non-resident you can only spend 180 days a year. However, the British continue to snap up homes in Spain and so far this year 6,500 homes have been sold to UK citizens.
Infact the British are the biggest buyers of Spanish property, making up 10 percent of the total. The Germans are in second place on eight percent. Andalucia and Murcia are the two provinces most popular with British buyers.
There is some bad news for the Balearics with a 32 percent fall in property sales to foreigners. The high prices and the recession in Germany have been blamed but 60 percent of foreign homes sales in the Balearics are to Germans. The British are in second place on 11 percent.
There is some concern about the state of the Spanish property market because it does appear that foreign residents are thinking twice about it.

Love the headline and tagline. *** No stopping the Brits in Spain *** "32 percent fall in property sales in the Balearics..." So, is that another "victory" then? To add icing to the cake, sure enough, tourism will drop between November and March. Wait for the grim report... Will the victories ever cease? 🇬🇧
