Real Mallorca 1 - Elche 0
Following the win away in Seville, Mallorca would have fancied their chances against Elche, who had lost their last three matches and were making their way towards the drop zone. Such promise was very nearly shortlived, when Valle hit the post for Elche after just three minutes. And it was Elche who generally had the better of a first half during which Moutinho went closest for Mallorca in the nineteenth minute.

Many thanks Luke. Shame the message wasn't clearer, language issues notwithstanding. I had the impression the ticket booths were closed but didn't look closely. Here's to the next ride on the roller coaster!
Hi Tim, The sold out sign was for the free tickets that the socios could pick up. I wondered the same thing when i saw the post on Facebook but I have a friend invlolved with the club that confirmed tickets could be purchased at the gate. Vamos Mallorca, si se puede!
Great result thanks to the team's most committed player. But, can anybody explain why this match was billed as sold out when there were thousands of empty seats, causing a visiting friend not to bother trying to get in? Similar thing happened towards the end of last season. In view of the exhortations to support the team, this seems ridiculous. Maybe MDB could clarify RCDM policy on this? I received no satisfactory explanation last year.
