I watched the game on Spanish TV. The players would have fared better if they had worn wellies ! I thought Mallorca´s pitch was well watered but this was more like a shallow paddling pool. Ironically, not so many players were diving ! (perhaps they can´t swim)
Never a second yellow
I have seen games played on worse grass waterlogged pitches over the past few seasons, looking at the picture. If the pitch is 3g, then the drainage should have coped, even with heavy rain.
