The Christmas lights are turned on in Palma this Thursday. There are fairs for the esclata-sang mushroom in Mancor, rice in Sa Pobla and "vi novell" (nouveau) in Santa Maria. The Mancor fair features a demons' fire-run on Friday night. Bunyola has its Santa Catalina fair as well. Legendary British folk guitarist/singer Martin Simpson is in Palma on Wednesday evening.
