Llampuga, variously also known as dorado and dolphinfish, has its own ‘show’ in Cala Ratjada.
A highly popular gastronomic occasion, it is part of the weekend of fresh fish in Cala Ratjada. The llampuga day is the Sunday.
Cala Ratjada is the most important port in the Balearics for llampuga; there are seven out of the 35 boats dedicated to its fishing. The season started on August 25 and ends on December 31.
There is a tapas competition on the Friday and there will be a special paella on the Saturday, when the music will go on into the small hours.
