The sixteenth Jazz Voyeur Festival in Palma starts on Saturday and will run until December 15.
As well as concerts, there are films with a jazz theme, conferences and a chance to meet internationally renowned performers. One of these will be Matt Bianco, meaning Mark Reilly.
Matt Bianco isn't a person but a British band. They came to fame in the 1980s. With a mix of pop, soul and jazz, their first single - 'Get Out Of Your Lazy Bed' (1984) reached number 15 in the UK Singles Chart.
Very much identified with singer Reilly, who founded the group, a key member was Mark Fisher.
A keyboardist - the first keyboard player for Wham! in fact - he passed away at the end of 2016.
Since then, Reilly has put together another band. In 2022, a double album, The Essential Matt Bianco, was released - thirty favourite tracks that were re-recorded or remixed. These form the basis for the live show.
