The elections this weekend have had an impact on fairs. At least least three which would normally take place this weekend have been held over. The big survivor is the Binissalem stone fair. Alaro's May fiesta, replete with Cossier folk dancers, also goes ahead. Otherwise, a leading name in contemporary folk music, Emily Barker, is in Palma, and there is a major benefit concert at Palma Auditorium.
