A week almost totally dominated by fiestas. Demons correfocs for Sant Antoni on Wednesday in Alaro, Alcudia, Maria de la Salut, Muro and Santa Maria, and in Andratx and Badia Gran on Saturday. Fireworks and pyromusical spectacular in Sa Pobla on Wednesday. Correfoc for Sant Honorat in Algaida on Tuesday. Palma's music night for Sant Sebastià on Saturday (the correfoc isn't until Monday, 21 January). Thursday is the main day for all the animal blessings. It is also the day of the pine climb in Pollensa.

What's on in Majorca: 7-13 January
The Sant Antoni fiestas are starting up, as is Sant Sebastià in Palma. Pollensa, Sa Pobla and Son Servera have their demons correfocs on Saturday. Palma has a procession and pop groups. Manacor has its rehearsals for Sant Antoni Eve. Otherwise, there is an Abba tribute at the auditorium in Palma, and the Campos cossier folk dancers will be out on Wednesday for the Sant Julià (Julian) fiestas.

The biggest fiestas week of the year - Sant Antoni, Sant Sebastià and not forgetting Sant Honorat. Demon correfocs - Algaida (Monday); Alaro, Alcudia, Muro, Santa Maria (Tuesday); Palma (Sunday). And there's all the other stuff - Sa Pobla's pyromusical, the traditional blessings of animals, the climbing of the pine in Pollensa (and Puerto Pollensa), the music stages in Palma.

Although Majorca's greatest fiestas - for Sant Antoni - are strictly speaking not until 16 and 17 January, they start on Tuesday in Manacor, while on Saturday in Sa Pobla there is the correfoc. Also in Andratx, Binissalem, Muro, Pollensa, Son Servera ... . Pink Floyd tribute in Palma, the outstanding jazz musician Andrea Motis in Sa Pobla, and the first big music party for Sant Sebastià in Palma.

Update Monday: weekend Sant Antoni events in Binissalem, Pollensa, Santanyi, Son Servera. Added Tuesday: Sant Antoni in Andratx this weekend. Update Wednesday: first events for Palma's Sant Sebastià are on Friday.
