On my eventual discharge I was given a 'CD' disc to present to my GP. This contained all the medical facts, details of my operation, XRays, etc. Such is the high state of their technology. Once again my thanks to all at the SON DURETA, the Doctors in Paguera, the family and staff at the BELLA COLINA in Paguera, along with the countless people of Paguera who gave support & comfort. Finally to all those people planning a holiday on this beautiful island, ignore the negative things that have been said. Come safe in the knowledge that should you be unfortunate to suffer injury or accident then rest assured you will be in very safe and capable hands. Thanks

On right track
Dear Sir,
Just returned home, again, from Majorca where my wife and I saw a new 'railway cutting' under construction somewhere 'in the middle of nowhere' (was it near Sineu?) and delighted to see the announcement in today's paper of the 'Manacor Extension'. This is the opportunity to make the railway electric, getting rid of those filthy, noisy and smelly diesels! As 'tourists', we are now contributing directly towards these environmental projects, and our voices should be heard.

Thank you
Dear Sir,
My wife & I have just returned from a two week stay in Cala D'or at the Rocador Playa. We had a wonderful time everyone was so friendly and most helpful. This holiday was the first time in forty years of travel that we have ever returned to the same resort we liked it so much the first time . We hope to return in September, but what we did not like is the growing culture of those awful scooters, so loud. I think they must have been modified for them to make so much noise. They certainly would not be allowed here, the Police would see to that. Is anything being done about them? If not it should, our September return might be our last. Yours sincerely

Puerto Pollensa is fine
Dear Sir,
Iwas amazed to read in yesterday's Bulletin a letter complaining about beautiful Puerto Pollensa. I can safely say that I enjoyed a great holiday there this month and hope to return again in August. Compared to other parts of the island it is in a class of its own. Having a major hamburger chain in the port is an asset and I don't think alarm bells should start ringing solely because you can now get a Big Mac in Port. Puerto Pollensa unlike other parts of the island has retained its tranquility. Okay times are changing and the port cannot live in by-gone years because people's tastes are different. As regards the storm damage, I know, through reading the Bulletin that the authorities are dealing with the problem. I am thoroughly looking forward to my next holiday in the port. It's such a special place for my family and me.
