Dear Sir,

You ask if the value of the euro to the pound affects decisions on holiday destination with special reference to the Balearics?
Answer: YES! Just the same as anywhere else really. The problem is that currency fluctuation in a negative direction after making your booking, leaves you committed and subsequently bitter about the cost of the holiday. A shame, but there it is. Thankfully, if spared a few more spins of the mortal coil, we return to the “pearls in the Med.” that are Majorca & Minorca. All is forgotten as the monetary pendulum swings again. British membership of the “euro club” would, at least, see the Balearics (Spain in general) join the fight in offering consistent value for money rather than reliance on “strong currency” tourism - Britain on and off; Germany recently; Russia? Anyway, don't worry, I'll be back.
