Never find a cab wne you want one

THE point made by Mr Pratt (24 July) about the shortage of Palma taxis at big entertainment venues is well taken.
His complaints about their absence after a concert at Plaza del Torres applies with equal force to the symphony concerts at Bellver Castle.
The pleasure given by the beautiful music so well played by the Balearic Symphony Orchestra is considerably diminished if one is faced with the long walk down to Son Armadans or thumbing a lift from a stranger.

Yes, there are radio cabs, although not so many after midnight, and in any case why shouldn't the cab drivers show some enterprise by going to their customers?
