Jointly to Boris Johnson and Ken Livingstone for demeaning the election campaign for Mayor of London both by mutually abusive arguments and for the problems likely to be caused by their consequent controversial publication of tax returns. The vast gap between their apparent respective earnings and taxation -- almost 200'000 pounds -- is not the point. They have created a precedent which will get out of control among all politicians and which can never tell the whole story about any individual's wealth.
