Dear Sir,

So another Summer Season has started and another six months (or more) of misery is with us.
Already the musicians have taken up residence outside of my window and if anything their repertoire is even longer this year.
I went to confront them about the length of time they spend playing the same tunes every day outside my home (on this particular day it was over two hours), and they basically told me they did not care. They said the police knew them and did not do anything.

This I guess is true as when we call for some help, sometimes an officer comes along, but usually by this time they are getting ready to move on anyway to make way for the next arrivals. Could they please not be reminded of the law (which I believe states quite clearly thirty minutes and no returning) and advised that if the police are called again there will be some sort of fine.

This is after all a law, which has been passed by Parliament and, rather like the bicycles on the pavement law, generally just gets ignored by the uncaring few in our City population.

I do not want the musicians eradicated from our streets as I am sure it does present a good outlook to the visitors, but I would like them to try and show some consideration to the residents who have to listen to the same tunes, day in day, out and at the same time try to get on with their work.

Settling in for the next hour of headaches I remain.
