Queen Elizabeth II who is celebrating 60 years on the throne and is more popular than ever. This weekend parties will be taking place across the world to mark her 60 years. While Britain may have changed since 1952, Britain´s love affair with the monarchy continues. I sincerely doubt that the Queen would ever have thought that sixty years later she would still be enjoying the same popularity ratings that she had in 1952. It is set to be a fantasic bank holiday weekend in Britain and a great distraction from all the bad economic news. If Britain has a good Jubilee and Olympics it could very well help the country out of recession. Now that would be a great present for the monarch.
