A big boo....

For the BBC's misguided and inadequate coverage of last Sunday's River Pageant which led to 3'648 complaints to the Corporation and any number of gleeful criticisms by newspapers which relish the opportunity to badmouth the Beeb. The weather didn't help the presenters trying to make their contributions light-hearted but the real problem was the lack of detailed research on facts and background relating to the event. Chat show chatter is not a substitute for a well-informed commentary.
