Whilst the new fast train service on the Palma - Inca line is to be lauded, I fail to see how commuters will be motivated to use it.
As part of the government drive to encourage the use of public transport, in Inca the railway station was re-furbished, and a new bus station built, together with a very expensive car park designed to service the transport hub. It all worked very well and was a definate benefit to local business.

However, this car park has now been closed for more than a year, presumably through lack of funds to run it.
It is not even open on Thursdays for the market or in the run-up to Christmas.
I know of at least two businesses who opened in this area, due to the vastly improved parking facilities.
They have written to the Inca Town Hall asking for an explanation of the closure and requested that it be re-opened, but they have not received the courtesy of a reply.

Parking on that side of Inca is an absolute nightmare, certainly not worth spending thirty minutes looking for a parking spot, in order to save seven minutes on the train! Yours Sincerely
