Although the spokesman said that the comparison did not reflect the Vatican's view, Father Cantalamesa's words will reinforce the growing feeling that in many ways the Vatican is out of touch with the real world -- how else could such a grossly inaccurate opinion pass the lips of a senior adviser to the Pope?
