....Is the Infanta Cristina, the youngest daughter of the King of Spain, who received a court summons this week from a Palma judge who is investigating claims that her husband and his business partner embezzled more than six million euros of public funds. The court summons for later this month has now been delayed to allow an appeal to be heard. Unusually it was Palma judge Jose Castro who launched the summons without the support of the prosecution who have now lodged an appeal. It is the first time in recent history than a senior member of the Spanish royal family has been summoned to appear in court. The Spanish government is said to be deeply concerned.
