IT is a great benefit for us on the Island to have available current films in the original soundtrack via the cinema “Renoir” in Palma, and long may it continue.

There were a spate of films recently that either won an Oscar or which were nominated for the award.
Out of all of them, the film showing currently “Notes on a Scandal” (not “Diary, etcetera, as advertised) is an exceptional film. Of course, everyone expects this to be the case where Judi Dench takes a leading role, but all other actors portray their parts commendably in this highly entertaining film - well worth viewing.

Another film - I do not know if the “Renoir” will show it, but if not it's worth obtaining on DVD - is “The Illusionist”, an excellent production to be watched carefully to not miss a minute! Graham Phillips, Palma de Majorca
