DEAR SIR

IN reading the comments from the head of Majorcan Tourist Board, with regards to easyJet and Ryanair, I am in a state of shock.
I employ up to 45 people here on the island, I am a frequent traveller to England, Ireland and Germany, using both carriers, it makes business sense, something Majorcan political leaders and representatives know little about.

Señor Pedro Iriondo should take his hat and leave office, after insulting over 2.5 million future tourists, residents and business people who use easyJet and Ryanair.

DEAR SIR
I am not surprised that the Islands tourist industry is in such a poor state if the head of tourism's views on low cost airlines and passengers (tourists) is widely held.

We own an apartment in Santa Ponsa which we use for our own personal use only, pay all the required taxes and contribute to the local economy by way of shopping eating out, hire cars etc etc.

If it were not for the low cost airlines, we would not be able to afford to visit the Island as frequently, if at all given the current economic situation.

Furthermore whilst in employment as a company director I invariably used low cost airlines for my own and my service staffs travel requirements, not only for cost reasons but also frequency of flights to and from destinations through out Europe.

Whilst it is accepted that service is not always first class, you get what you pay for, and in most cases on short haul flights all we want is to get from A to B as quickly and economically as possible.

Best regards
Paul Brady

DEAR SIR
THE head of the Majorcan Tourist Board, Pedro Iriondo, is talking rubbish. I have been flying easyJet into Majorca twice a year for the last 20 years & we always stay at resort hotels. The people who fly low cost airlines do so that they have more money to spend on the island and not on sky high air fares.

Regards, Stan
