A nightmare with the new residence permit

Dear Sir. JUST to inform you that the new residencia is of no use even traveling to the mainland . A friend and myself went to the mainland on the 25th March returning on 1st April arriving at the airport to check in for our flight. My friend produced her NEW Residencia and was told by the airline staff it was not valid even when she told them the authorities said this was now the new residencia but to no avail. She was lucky to have her driving license with her and was allowed to go through. I advised her to put a photo on the paper and have it stamped by the authorities. The same problem happened in Barcelona. I simply produced my old Residencia and had no problem.
