THE general election campaign is off and running and I would say that the result is too close to call. If I was living in Britain I don´t know who I would be voting for; you could say that I am still an undecided voter but Labour would certainly not get my vote. Brown and company need to go simply because they have been in power for too long. Which leaves the Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives. My problem with the Tories is that they appear to be a “one man band”. David Cameron is a good leader but he lacks depth in his squad with the other members of his team being rather average. William Hague and Ken Clarke are not exactly new blood and the rest are rather unknown quantities. Now, the Liberal Democrats appear to have a good team and leader Nick Clegg has surprised me, he does appear to have the qualities of a leader and would-be prime minister. Years ago I would never have dreamed of voting Liberal Democrat for a simple reason, I thought that the party was a complete waste of time! What I have said in this space is probably what millions of people in Britain are thinking at the moment. For this reason this election is too close to call. I do not believe the opinion polls but I do believe that the Liberal Democrats could do very well.
