USUALLY former Prime Ministers disappear from the international and domestic scene and are never heard of again. Classic example is Gordon Brown, who I don´t think I have seen in public since he was defeated at the last election. But a man who is slowly making a comeback is Tony Blair. I am rather intrigued. Blair slammed Ed Miliband, the new Labour leader, this week in an interview saying that there was a danger of Labour becoming a protest party as a result of their stance over welfare cuts. He was also very vocal against the disgusting so-called “celebration parties” following Margaret Thatcher´s death. And earlier this month he said in an interview that he could probably have done better than Gordon Brown at the last election which Labour lost to the coalition. Blair was also one of the first guests to accept an invitation to Margaret Thatcher´s funeral. So what is going on? Is Blair looking to get back into frontline politics? I doubt that his comments will be well received by the Labour Party especially as Ed Miliband has done his best to dump New Labour. Is he just trying to push the point that he was one of the most successful Labour Prime Ministers? Blair is abit like Thatcher ,he also divides British public opinion. You either like him or hate him. But nothing can take away his list of successes. At a time when Britain rather lacks decent politicians, perhaps Tony Blair should be welcomed back with open arms but not by Ed Miliband!
