By Jason Moore WELL we had Chelsea v. Liverpool in the quarter-finals and now there is another Premier league fixture in the semis of the Champions League (Arsenal v. Manchester United). An all English final is a distinct possibility for the second year running. So is the Premier League the best in the world? Well, judging by the Champions League, I would say yes. English clubs have out-played their European rivals. Now, some could say that the three English teams competing in the last four are as English as Alex Ferguson but who cares if you are a supporter of any of them you must be over-the-moon and even Spanish television has praised the Premier League, even daring to say that it was better than La Liga. Yes, the Premier League is dominating the Champions League like Seria A did three years ago and La Liga five years ago. But at a time when there is little good news coming out of Britain it is nice to see that English teams are competing with the best and winning. The Premier League has plenty to offer and for this reason it attracts all the top players. King Juan Carlos was so impressed by Fernando Torres he asked him, when Spain won the European Championship, “what are they feeding you in Liverpool...!” I would just say that the Premier League is hungry for success!
