To the Spanish government who have announced plans to include all nationalities in the 50 percent travel discount scheme between the mainland and neighbouring islands. Until now the discount could only be received by citizens from European Union countries. But now it has been extended to all. The move has been welcomed by the airlines and ferry companies. At one stage the Spanish government had been planning to scrap the discount, in the end they have extended it.
