Person of the week..

is George Osborne, the Chancellor of the Exchequer. He has had a week which quite literally brought him to tears. The International Monetary Fund has criticised his austerity plans and has cut their growth targets for the British economy. He is on the back foot at the IMF meeting not helped by the fact that one of the credit ratings has also cut Britain´s AAA credit rating. All this in the same week that he was spotted shedding a tear at Margaret Thatcher´s funeral. Some of his critics said that he should be crying at the hardship which his austerity plans are causing. Osborne, appears to be sticking to his guns, and said that for now his spending cuts will renmain in place.
