...but a muted one for the continuing difficulty that London's Metropolitan Police are having in handling public demonstrations. Last week's High Court judgement that the crowd encircling practice known as kettling is illegal was just the latest of a series of judgements and incidents arising from demonstrations that have gone against the police. A muted boo because the police have a very difficult job to do, but there does seem to be something wrong just now -- perhaps in their leadership?
