THIS week I joined thousands of holidaymakers in Pollensa for the Easter holidays...unfortunately the weather was not on our side. The fact that it was warmer in Britain over the Easter holidays was not lost on my fellow tourists! It is a great shame that Majorca has been unable to shine over Easter which brings me to the question; what do you do in Majorca when it rains?

Well it's a difficult question but let's face its the weather in Majorca has changed over recent years thanks allegedly to global warming and perhaps the local authorities should start a campaign on what to do when the sun is not shining. There are plenty of museums, art galleries and other indoor attractions to visit but they need promotion and this is the job of the local authorities. While official figures show that it has allegedly been a record breaking Easter for bookings the period will be labelled as a wash-out by many. Other competing resorts have spent heavily on building major indoor attractions and perhaps Majorca should consider doing the same. This island has some of the best beaches in the world and the climate is usually fantastic. It is just a shame that it rather deserted us this Easter. Oh well better luck next year, or has it been an opportunity lost for Majorca?
