DEAR SIR,

PARKING IN SANTA PONSA
I was horrified to read the story of the councillors and officials having priority in a public car park. They should have a little humility and remember they are our servants and not our masters.

An apology is due Mr Mayor, besides a refund of any citizens' expenses.
Yours sincerely,

Robin Musters

DEAR SIR, RAY Fleming highlights BP's bad PR in today's Daily B (View Point Friday). As he says CEO Tony Hayward's performance in front if the US Congressional Committee in June was a second disaster after the earlier Deepwater Horizon one. I just happened to catch the start of the session and could see immediately the depth of ordure being heaped on him. A large number of Americans against a lone Brit. I phoned around my BP colleagues and told them to tune in ASAP.

I expressly use the word performance as what was needed was an actor rather than the geologist we got. I suggested to my friends that they should have had Michael Sheen as a stand in. To twig your memory he has already successfully portrayed David Frost, Tony Blair and Brian Clough. In addition he looks like Tony Hayward. Further into the same Daily B edition I see that he is to be grilled again this time by UK MPs next Wednesday. I'll be on tenterhooks to see if my friends have taken my advice and whether I can tell the difference!
