WHO is governing the Balearics, the elected government or the road contractors? The suggestion of a second ring road for Palma, originally opposed by the Socialists when in opposition, is now supported by them. Why? What has changed their minds? The road is of minor importance among the present & future problems in the Islands.
Similarly, he ill considered proposal to eliminate the coast road between the Port of Pollenca & Alcudia to provide a bigger beach is quite unnecessary. When has the existing beach ever appeared crowded? And of course a new inland road would be needed - but it isn't!
Francis Chichester once described Pollenca Bay as the most beautiful in the World.Leave it alone politicians & road builders. Learn from the recently opened Port of Pollenca ring road which is barely used.
Keep Pollenca Bay beautiful; that is one of the major reasons visitors come here on holiday & why migrants come to live here.
