Dear Sir, WHEN the politicians in Palma finally get down to voting on the above, perhaps they would do well to ask themselves (and if possible, answer truthfully!) the following question about the proposed reforms to Son Dureta hospital:
(1) If unlucky enough to need, and get admitted as an in-patient during “reform time”, would I be like to be faced with the increased risk of infection?
(2) Would I like to be surrounded by the intolerable inescapable noise such reforms generate?
(3) Would I like to be treated by staff who are totally demoralised, asked to cope day after day, year after year with such conditions?
If the answer is “no” to any or all of the above questions, they must vote “no” to Son Dureta reform as they surely can't expect “us” (Joe public/voters!) to endure conditions, that they couldn't, or wouldn't tolerate.

When ill, you already feel vulnerable and don't need added worries/stress - after all, hospitals are meant to improve physical and mental health, not make things worse.
