MANY of our politicians have a back ground in Real Estate. Some have usedtheir knowledge extensively. Sr. Hidalgo one time mayor of Andratx immediately springs to mind.
Sticking to what you know best is a cowardlyphilosophy. Long-time residents will remember our representatives breakingout into new avenues on our behalf.
With their ability to think laterally, they have taken us into far seeing involvements such as Municipal Crematoriums, Mountain Tunnels and the latest and greatest - the Sub Aqua Scuba Diving Centre in Palma also known as the Metro.
Yesterday's Daily Bulletin wrote of the birth of another sure fire winner- our local politicians to run the airport. According to Sr. Nadal of the Majorcan Unionists his board will give;
- Individualization
- Efficiency
- Freedom of management
- Improvement of the economy
- Improvement of financing
- Better quality of life
- Transparency of management
- Improve other services
- Bring down prices
- Contribute to all year round tourism
I'm sure it was an oversight that he forgot to add Ending Global Warming. I can't wait.
