The Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has taken the European Union to task for quite frankly having done nothing to help member states fight the virus. No united plan has been devised and each country been hung out to dry and battle the virus on its own. Full marks to Germany which has been taking in patients from Italy and France, but that has nothing to do with the EU.

First true test when all member states should have come together.Regrefully the “bunker”mentality has been applied.Look after “our own”.Hopefully all countries will come through this pandemic but what about the financial help some countries will need .To be honest I am pleased the U.K. is out and yes it will be difficult ,taxes ,prices will increase but we will not be looking over our shoulders at the lack of commitment and back stabbing which will surely happen within the EU
The EU has proven that it is a complete and utter failure. Germany,France and Holland have abandoned Spain and Italy in their hour of need. There is no cohesive plan within the 27 member states and it appears all action that has been taken is to protect the euromark. The Eu is finished and should ‘revert to a trade organisation as it was originally ie a Common Market not a group of unelected officials overruling the laws of nation states.
