Nineteen pensioners dead in bus crash

At least 19 people died and 15 were injured yesterday when a bus packed with pensioners crashed near the southern Spanish city of Huelva. Several of the more than 40 passengers were trapped underneath the twisted wreckage of the bus, a local government official said. The cause of the crash was not yet known. Weather conditions were very good but we don't know if it was the speed of the bus or something on the road that caused the accident,” a spokesman for the Huelva local administration said. The bus was travelling between the towns of Valverde del Camino and Palma del Condado, not far from the Portuguese border, when it left the road.
