Euro parking

All the parking metres at Palma airport have been fully adapted for the euro. Yesterday the final tests were carried out and the machines are able to deal with euro notes and coins as well as credit cards. The metres will continue to operate in pesetas and euros during the currency transition period which ends in March. Airport authority AENA said that soon the parking metres at Minorca and Ibiza airports will also be adapted as technicians start revising and adapting all airport equipment from the shops to the bars ahead of the single currency's introduction on January
